We have now entered the 2019 Christmas Season. We have raced through these eleven months of the year and have arrived at December. Over the past year, many people have accomplished many tasks. Some have graduated from school, entered marriage, started new careers, been promoted at work, purchased a new home, moved across the country. These milestones have taken hard work and effort, and are well deserved.
Others are experiencing a more difficult side of life. Some have lost loved one’s, been diagnosed with cancer, or experienced loss. Such experiences are hard to understand. Why do some people have success, and others have anything but success?
In this Christmas season, if we are not careful we will race through December just like we did the past eleven months. Christmas has become so commercialized it appears there is more emphasis on the material aspects than the Spiritual. I’d like to urge us to turn our hearts and our minds toward the true meaning of Christmas; the Good News of Hope for all who will accept and follow Christ. We each make a choice whether or not we will focus on the true meaning of Christmas. Furthermore, we Believers make the choice whether or not we will share the Good News of Salvation with those around us this Christmas Season.
I hope you will join us for this exciting sermon series entitled, “Why Did God Send His Son to Die For Mankind?”
December 1: “When The Fullness of Time Had Come” (Galatians 4:4)
December 8: “God Regulates the Universe” (Hebrews 11:1-3)
December 15: “By God’s Plan, Wisdom and Knowledge” (Romans 11:33)
December 22: “The True Light of the World” (John 1:1-5)
